My Liverpool Life connects people and business in Liverpool and South Sefton. Their website offers a hub for visitors to explore 'What's on', Reviews, Offers, Competitions, Products, Features and Services are available online

They also hold regular networking and lifestyle events bringing independent traders and retailers together within the community, encouraging local shopping and business development.

This summer they chose the beautiful Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park for their Summer Soiree and as they were raising money for the James Bulger Memorial Trust I was invited along.

My usual dilemma of what should I wear to such an event was non-existent as I had been to Smudge Boutique in West Kirby a few days previously and picked out a gorgeous 60’s inspired Lavish Alice dress. I decided to put my hair up in a messy bun and chose my fave mini Hermes bag. I popped my nude platforms on from Kurt Geiger and wore my make-up heavy….

My date for the evening was my mum Eileen, I won’t be taking her along to any more events as she hates getting her picture taken so tried hiding behind me all night, she is not used to wearing heels so about an hour in she needed us to go as she was crippled. I love my mum but she’s very different from me and this type of evening was not her cup of tea.

I said hello to everyone and enjoyed a cool glass of Prosecco, the canapés were a tasty little treat and the atmosphere was fab! I found the lady of the hour Laura Doyle and my jaw dropped! Wowzer WHAT A HOTTY!! Laura looked a million dollars and was so sincere in her welcoming of my mum and me.

There were lots of business's set up inside, some offering samples and discounts on purchases made that evening, others had models walking in the catwalk show.

I loved everything I saw!!! I took lots of pics and video’s so I could chase up the designers after the show. My favourite pieces were these little numbers….

I’m yet to find out who designed them as got caught up in the arrival of Big Brother stars, ex on the beach models, Love Island beauties and renowned models. The whole of Liverpool was at this event!

I sipped prosecco, chatted with lovely designers and tried not to spend a fortune! I saw lots of generous people donate to JBMT and I’ve been told that £366.47 was raised which is fantastic! As an ambassador I know just how grateful Denise and Stuart are for every penny, the money raised for the charity, the more children they can help.

There’s lots of pictures here for you to enjoy, and I’ve got some videos on my twitter if you get the opportunity to showcase your business at the next My Liverpool Life event then I would definitely recommend it as it was a huge success and even my mum ended up having a good time….
